Music In Prisons
Support Us / Become a 'Friend'
Help us to give offenders the tools to change their lives.

By becoming a Friend of Music in Prisons you can provide us with the security to plan our future and to continue to push the boundaries of innovation in our work. As a Friend you will also enjoy a closer relationship with Music in Prisons by being kept up to date with our work, receiving CDs from projects and invitations to performances and special events.

Some suggestions for donations are listed below, but you are of course welcome to contribute at any level that you would like. All donations from Friends will support a combination of our crucial running costs which enable us to plan and develop our work, as well as the actual costs of our prison projects.

What you could support:

  • £60 per year (£5 per month) will help to provide project participants with a professionally recorded CD of the music they have created during a project which will testify to their achievement.
  • £120 per year (£10 per month) could make a significant contribution to the general running costs of our office which is crucial to allowing us a realistic planning horizon for projects.
  • £300 per year (£25 per month) could contribute towards a project leader working with 12 prisoners, giving them the chance to take part in a creative music project that will build their confidence and skills.
  • £600 per year (£50 per month) will help the team provide in-situ training for a new musician who will either go on to join the team, or continue using music in prisons in different ways.
If you feel you could support us on a regular basis, please fill out the form here, print it out, sign it and post it to us at the office. We will do the rest for you!
